Spotlight on…The Magic Burrow

The Magic Burrow is a Sensory friendly play centre with a sensory room and role play areas (all designed in partnership with local families to ensure suitability). Warm lights, lower capacities and calming music. The entire space is themed around an enchanted forest/ nostalgic story book kind of vibe. They also offer designated SEND sessions for all ages (including adults) as well as parties, private hire, bedtime wind down sessions (attend in your pyjamas, storytime, calm routine for every school night).

What benefits does this bring to those attending?
The Magic Burrow is a safe space for all. The sensory-friendly environment allows comfortable exploration and play away from overstimulating soft plays. They really aim to be a central community hub where you can genuinely get to know other parents and their staff and have them as your safe regular space. It allows children and adults to develop socially and also get the sensory input and regulation needed. It is a play centre so please be aware that parents must still supervise their children at all times.

They have already gained over 500 followers on Facebook and have had a hugely positive response from the community with so many families saying how they are in desperate need of a safe space that actually caters for SEND and sensory sensitivities. There is lots of excitement and the community has made it very clear the positive impact this will have on both children and adults. How can others get involved?

They will have a website set up shortly with an easy to use booking system where you can book onto as many sessions as you would like. They will also do parties and private hire. If
