Spotlight on…Tameside’s Little Gems

Tameside Little Gems (TLG) are running a sensory and gaming session on the last Sunday of every month from 10am to 12pm at Aqua Nurture Knott Lane Gee Cross SK14 5BS.

It helps parents and children attend a safe and comfortable environment. Parents can speak with others, and many have gained new friendships and support from those who understand what life can be like living with a SEND child. Children have also gained new friendships and look forward to attending each month, where they get full access to the gaming and sensory room.

Any SEND families are welcome to attend this session. Siblings are welcome. This is a fully funded session, and there is also a café on site where families can buy food, drinks, and snacks if they wish. SEND parents can also join their peer support Facebook page.

In addition to this group, Tameside Little Gems also run a Facebook Peer Support Group, annual funded short break away to Chester, annual Christmas party and themed sensory group sessions and funded tribunal wellbeing packs for SEND parents.
