The House of Lords Committee is launching its Call for Evidence on the Autism Act 2009 where you (autistic people, parents/carers, friends and family, professional working with autistic people) can contribute your views.
The Committee wants to understand how well the Autism Act, the Government’s autism strategy and the statutory guidance are working so that it can make specific, practical recommendations about what the Government should do next.
There is also a drop in at Ashton Library, Heginbottom Room on Tuesday 27th May, 12.30-2pm for people to share their views about this Call for Evidence and we could collate and share with the government. The committee wants evidence on key questions about how to improve support for autistic people, including:

The Committee have said that you should try to make sure that your submission is no more than six pages long in total. If your submission is longer than six pages, you should include a one-page summary. This is because they may receive a lot of submissions from different people and we want to be able to consider each one carefully.
