Short break groups, are supported activities for a child or young person with SEND who cannot access mainstream activities due to their needs. It offers them a safe, fun, and engaging experience, while also giving parents / carers and siblings valuable respite.
Tameside are currently reviewing the short break group offer. Our aim through this questionnaire is to understand what services families currently access, what barriers, if any, they face when accessing mainstream activities, and what support is needed to ensure that there are a range of activities to suit a range of needs, delivered in safe and supported environments.
