SEND Sufficiency Strategy 2025 – 2028

An overview of the new Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Sufficiency Strategy is now available, setting out a clear vision for ensuring that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities can access the right support.

The strategy outlines commitments to:

  • Expanding high‑quality local provision
  • Strengthening inclusive practice across all schools
  • Improving early identification and intervention
  • Reducing reliance on out‑of‑borough placements
  • Working in partnership with families, schools, and health services

The strategy builds on recent progress, including new resource bases opening in 2025 and the expansion of specialist provision across the borough.
