Families across Tameside can look forward to an exciting range of inclusive holiday activities designed especially for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). These sessions, part of the HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme, provide welcoming, supportive environments where children can socialise, stay active and try something new – all while having fun.
A Variety of Engaging Activities
The programme offers a diverse mix of sessions to suit different interests, abilities and ages:
Active Tameside SEND Holiday Camp – “Play, Eat, Thrive”
- A well-rounded holiday camp experience where children can enjoy a mix of activities, meet new friends, and benefit from a safe and nurturing environment.

Everybody Can – Hyper Bowling (Tameside Wellness Centre, Denton)
- A fun, interactive experience designed to keep children active while building coordination and teamwork skills.
- Ages: 4–14

Everybody Can Multi-Sports – Oxford Park (Ashton-under-Lyne)
- A chance to explore a variety of sports in an inclusive outdoor setting—perfect for children who enjoy trying something new.

Swim, Slide and Waves – Hyde Leisure Pool
- Water-based fun with swimming, slides and waves—ideal for building water confidence while having fun.
- Ages: 5–14

Cycle Track Sessions – Tameside Cycle Circuit (Ashton-under-Lyne)
- A supportive space for children to develop cycling skills safely and build confidence on two wheels.

Sky High Adventure – Active Medlock (Droylsden)
- An exciting, confidence-building adventure session for young people ready to try something new.

All activities are specifically designed to be accessible and inclusive for children with SEND or additional needs. Sessions are structured with support in place, ensuring that children feel comfortable, included and able to participate at their own pace.
