School Run Mum Club

Tameside Libraries have received funding to offer a range of support sessions for neurodivergent residents, and their parents and carers. The School Run Mum Club is a free, practical and supportive session for parents or carers of a neurodivergent child. They offer support for those who are struggling with transitions at home or school.

There are two variations of this event, online and in-person.

Virtual Event – Thursday 4 September, 6:00 PM (via Zoom)

In-Person Session – Saturday 13 September, 11:00 AM at Hyde Town Hall

We will be joined by a Family Autism Consultant, and exploring:

  • Why transitions can trigger meltdowns
  • What’s really happening in a child’s brain
  • The biggest mistake parents make before a transition
  • A 3-step plan to help a child move on
