Young people in Tameside are invited to an event aimed at supporting their mental health and emotional wellbeing this month.
The Children and Young People Mental Health Event will bring together specialist services from Tameside Council and the NHS to provide advice and guidance.
The event is designed to spark conversations about mental health, promote emotional resilience, and showcase the support available for Tameside’s children, young people, their carers and families.
The event has developed from an idea by the Children in Care Council and Care Leavers’ Forum members, and will include services from mental health support teams, Active Tameside, sexual health support, as well as drug and alcohol support. There will also be interactive activities to get involved in such as yoga, face painting, hair braiding, biscuit decorating, and hoop throwing.
The event is free to attend at Hyde Town Hall and takes place on Thursday 21 August from 11am-3.30pm.
