It’s really important we create opportunities for people to share their views on how local services can improve support, advocacy, belonging and good health. Adults with learning disabilities and/or who are Autistic, their parents and carers are invited to The Big Chat! to have their say on local support, browse a range of information stalls and fun activities.
The drop-in style event takes place at Tameside Wellness Centre in Denton on Thursday 16 October 2025 between 10am and 3pm. At the event people can also connect with others through fun activities including swimming, a pony patch, a session with Tameside Music Service, crafts, dancing, yoga, tai-chi, and bowling. A range of local support services will be on hand including the Learning Disability and Autism Team, Long-term Support (Day Services and Residential), Mental Health Team, Community Learning Disability Team, Shared Lives, Active Tameside, SeeAbility, People First and many more.
Please help us to share this event via your networks and by sharing this social post. You can find out more at https://www.tameside.gov.uk/adults/ldn or call our Adults Long-term Support Service on 0161 342 5240.
