Internships Work Conference
The Internships Work Conference on Tuesday 24 February 2026 is an online event bringing together voices from across the country to celebrate progress. Delivered by the Internships Work programme, the conference is for anyone committed to improving opportunities for young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Three sessions will explore different perspectives and practical insights:
- Internships Work because young people do (10:00am–12:30pm) – Stories and
successes from across the programme. - Insights from the pilot (2:00pm–3:00pm) – What we’ve learned from testing new
approaches for young people without an EHCP across 16 local authorities. - Helping families navigate supported internships (6:00pm–7:30pm) – Guidance
and reassurance for parents and carers.
Expect engaging speakers, real-life experiences, and ideas that can influence future practice. Whether you’re a decision-maker, practitioner, employer, or family member, this event offers valuable knowledge and connections to help create real jobs and real change.
