HAF Christmas Events

This December, families can step into the spirit of the season with a series of festive events funded by the Department for Education’s HAF programme. Each celebration is designed to capture the wonder of Christmas, featuring joyful music, lively dancing, interactive games, and appearances from beloved characters such as Santa, Jingles the Elf, Mrs Gingerbread, and the enchanting sisters Elsa and Anna.

Families can look forward to a wide range of free holiday sessions and seasonal celebrations, alongside non-Christmas themed options, taking place throughout December at venues across the borough. Every booking includes a healthy, nutritious meal, ensuring children can enjoy fun and food together. Dedicated sessions for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) will feature accessible activities tailored to their needs.

Event Name: Believe in the Magic – A Christmas Celebration

This event is for children in Reception to Year 6 (Universal offer) and children and young people Reception – Year 11 (SEND Specific Celebration) (Younger/older siblings may attend if sibling is in recipient of benefit related FSM and within the age range – applies for both events). 

  • Monday: A festive celebration featuring music, dancing, and fun activities for all ages. Guests will enjoy interactive games and meet beloved Christmas characters, including Father Christmas.
  • Tuesday: An inclusive Christmas celebration tailored for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. The event will feature music, dancing, and accessible activities for all abilities.

  • Must be booked in advance via EEQU
  • Guardians must attend with children
  • Minimum ratio: 1 adult per 4 children
