Follow-Up: Tameside Umbrella Parent Carer Forum Launch

Thank you to all the parents, carers, children, and young people who shared feedback at the Tameside Umbrella PCF launch event. Your voices are vital in shaping how we improve SEND services.

As highlighted in recent posts, we have a comprehensive SEND Improvement Plan designed to address many of the concerns raised. In addition, we are working closely with the wider council to ensure that issues beyond education—such as transport, resources in parks, holiday clubs, and housing—reflect your priorities.

We will review your specific feedback and share regular “You Said, We Are Doing” updates so you can see how your input is driving change.

The leaders of Tameside Umbrella PCF meet with us monthly and hold a seat on our SEND Improvement Board. This ensures your views are represented at the highest level. If you’d like to influence how we shape and deliver SEND services, please share your concerns with them or consider joining the group.
