Tameside Jobs Fair is taking place on Wednesday 25 September at Dukinfield Town Hall, King Street, from 10am to 1pm, offering lots of opportunities for people of all ages, with a wide range of employers.
Job seekers will be able to apply for roles on the day, as well as receive advice from professionals on developing their skills and training.
Tameside Council’s Routes to Work team will be available to speak to who are a supported employment service offering advice, support, and practical assistance to local residents with a disability. There will be somebody at the front door of Dukinfield Town Hall who will be asking people attending if they require any extra assistance. In addition, there will be volunteers in green shirts that can support people with accessing employer stalls and suitable support services if required.
Some of the employers who will be at the free event include Active Tameside, Jigsaw, Co-Op Live and more.
Councillor Jack Naylor, Tameside Council’s executive member for inclusive growth, business, and employment, said: “As an authority we are committed to increasing employment among our residents and the autumn jobs fair is the perfect opportunity for residents to be matched with local employers.
“It is also a great opportunity for employers to meet local talent, allowing them to shortlist potential candidates on the day.
