September 9th marks Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Day, and this year, the Greater Manchester FASD Network is hosting a special event in Manchester to help shine a light on this often, under-recognised condition.
Video Opportunity – Young Adults with FASD
In the lead-up to the event, the team is looking for young adults with FASD (or suspected FASD) who would like to take part in a short video. The aim is to help others better understand what young people with FASD need as they transition into adulthood.
If you or someone you know might be interested, please share this opportunity. For more details, contact: joanna.buckard@nationalfasd.org.uk
Join them at the Awareness Event – 9th September
They’re also inviting young adults with FASD, adults with FASD, families, and supporters to join us at Exchange Square, Manchester city centre on Tuesday 9th September.
They will be there in the morning, but they would especially love to see you between 11:45am and 1:00pm
There will be a stall with cakes and information. They will also be making some TikTok video content (no pressure to be in them!)
FASD deserves more recognition, and your presence can make a real difference. Come along, show your support, and help raise awareness in a fun and meaningful way!
