A Special Approach to REAL (Raising Early Achievements in Literacy)

Tameside Family Hubs are excited to offer a FREE workshop for parents on REAL, delivered by the National Children’s Bureau. REAL is a national programme to support children’s literacy development, which focuses on supporting parents to help their children’s emerging literacy skills in the home or local community. It covers important information on how children learn and develop their language skills and provides ideas for activities that can be easily done at home.

We believe parents, carers and extended family members are critical in supporting children’s development, particularly where additional considerations are needed, such as where children have Special Educational Needs or Disability. This workshop will explore how REAL can be tailored to be inclusive for children with SEND.
